Job summary

JPI seeks an Operational Ownership Lead to join the Irvine, CA team. You will coordinate design and construction efforts, ensuring alignment between consultants, internal stakeholders, and field operations for timely project completion.

Reporting to the Director of Operational Ownership, you will oversee milestones, validate designs, and support rapid decision-making to keep projects on track; a background in multifamily or large-scale builds is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in development, design management, and construction, preferably in multifamily or large-scale projects.
• Proficiency with Excel, Bluebeam, and Procore for project tracking and documentation.
• Deep knowledge of project phasing, execution risks, and owner-driven design changes.

Responsibilities

• Lead consultant onboarding and establish scope clarity, financial control, and coordination standards.
• Coordinate weekly design agendas with teams and track milestone commitments.
• Review and validate consultant billings for progress and scope alignment.
• Create and report dashboards on deliverable status across internal and external teams.
• Serve as owner's representative for construction and operations during active build and resolve RFIs and field-driven revisions.
