Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead to provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and hands-on development for enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native platforms.

You will partner with Product, Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and Delivery teams to drive strategic objectives and ensure successful execution of initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in software engineering, preferably with enterprise systems.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and React/Angular.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes (GKE).
• Hands-on CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Concourse, ArgoCD, Terraform.
• Experience with API management and integration platforms such as Apigee.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native solutions.
• Own end-to-end technical solution delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Define and drive technical architecture, engineering standards, design patterns, and development best practices across teams.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and guide teams through implementation strategies.
• Lead technical planning, estimation, and architecture reviews for all initiatives.
• Drive design decisions that balance business objectives, technical debt, operational supportability, performance, cost, and risk.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, engineers, and managed service partners.
