Job summary

Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions is seeking a Technical Consultant to lead an agile team in our Canton, MA area. You will own end-to-end technical delivery, architect scalable, cloud-native AI-enabled solutions, and drive modernization of core frameworks within a hybrid work model.

The role requires 9+ years’ experience, strong Java/Spring Boot skills, and deep understanding of insurance business contexts. You’ll influence architecture decisions and mentor junior developers across IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 9+ years of related experience.
• Experience with application architecture and development.
• Understanding of insurance business basics, especially property/casualty or specialty.
• Experience with design, development, QA, and integration methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical lead guiding customers, analysts, and team members.
• Develop and present recommendations for complex IT solutions.
• Own non-functional requirements like performance, security, and scalability.
• Design and develop cloud-native, AI-enabled enterprise apps using Java.
• Provide hands-on technical contribution to unblock teams.
• Collaborate across the IT organization to align with architecture standards.
