Job summary

Wipro Limited in the United States is seeking a seasoned software engineer to lead delivery across Java, Spring Boot, and microservices, driving design, coding, testing, and automated quality. You will work with stakeholders, tech leads, architects, and PMs to translate requirements into concrete designs and actionable tasks.

You will also mentor teammates, help plan sprints, and ensure robust production deployments while advancing AI tooling and modern orchestration frameworks.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead technical quality through code reviews and mentoring.
• Advance skills in software engineering principles, including object‑oriented design and microservices architecture.
• Strong grasp of design patterns, clean code practices, and writing maintainable, scalable software.
• Hands‑on experience in Java, Spring boot and experience in development on Test Automation Framework implementations using Junit 5 and JBehave.
• Experience using AI engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or M365 Copilot to improve productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, and debugging while maintaining human review and responsible‑use standards.
• Hands‑on experience building, testing, and optimizing AI agents, utilizing modern LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel).
• Strong expertise in prompt engineering, including advanced techniques (few‑shot prompting, Chain‑of‑Thought, ReAct frameworks).
• Must be keen on maintaining product quality.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Familiarity with SDLC processes and Agile Methodologies
• Proficient with Git or similar version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements with stakeholders, tech leads, architects, and project managers to ensure a clear delivery picture.
• Create designs that meet requirements and facilitate review and approval with key stakeholders.
• Break down project work into stories, size development effort, and plan sprints.
• Support team members in overcoming technical and project challenges to complete planned work.
• Facilitate internal technical support for projects to achieve successful production deployment.
• Support the creation and maintenance of internal technical documentation.
