Job summary

Qualifications

Position Summary

The Developer designs, builds, tests, and supports cloud-native platform features and services for a large-scale federal system hosted on AWS. This role implements user stories, resolves defects, participates in code reviews, and contributes to continuous delivery and automation. The Developer works collaboratively with the Agile delivery team to refine technical requirements, maintain code quality, support secure and accessible application development, and use AI-assisted development tools throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement user stories, application features, and platform services using a cloud-native AWS technology stack.
  • Develop unit and integration tests to validate functionality, reliability, and code quality.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and follow established software engineering standards and best practices.
  • Diagnose and resolve software defects and support continuous delivery activities.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with developers, technical leads, product owners, and other team members during solution design, backlog refinement, and implementation.
  • Apply secure coding practices and support applicable accessibility requirements.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, development automation, and delivery-process improvements.
  • Use version-control practices to manage and maintain application source code.
Minimum Experience

3+ years of professional software development experience.

Experience developing applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.

Familiarity with AWS cloud services and CI/CD concepts.

Experience working with source-code version-control systems.
