Job summary

Strategic Business Systems, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Developer to design and deliver scalable, secure cloud-native applications for federal customers on AWS. Flexible work arrangements include onsite, hybrid, or remote options, with an active TS/SCI clearance preferred.

U.S. Citizenship required for this federal-facing role. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-scale applications, participate in the full SDLC, and collaborate with AWS architects and customer

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language (Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Demonstrated experience with cloud-based or distributed systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.

To support the AWS Professional Services delivery team, the Senior Software Developer - VA Licensed will design and deliver scalable, secure, cloud-native applications for federal customers, with flexible work arrangements available including onsite, hybrid, or remote options, and an active TS/SCI clearance preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and secure software applications on AWS


• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, and sustainment


• Collaborate cross-functionally with AWS architects, customer leads, and other vendor teams to deliver customer-aligned solutions

Required qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship


• Five (5) or more years of professional software engineering experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale applications


• Proficiency in at least one modern language: Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript / TypeScript


• Demonstrated experience with cloud-based or distributed systems


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent professional experience
