Job summary

ARA is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer to translate complex technical content into clear, engaging learning experiences across CBT, WBT, ILT, VILT, and blended formats. You will work with SMEs and production teams to deliver trainer materials, assessments, and job aids that meet customer standards.

The successful candidate will design and develop multimedia learning products using Adobe Captivate and Articulate 360, including Rise 360, with experience in other tools like Vyond,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, education, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 2+ years designing and developing training for adult learners or technical audiences.
• Experience creating CBT, WBT, ILT, VILT, eLearning, multimedia, or blended learning products.
• Proficiency with Adobe Captivate and Articulate 360, including Rise 360; Vyond, Camtasia, PowerPoint are beneficial.
• Strong understanding of instructional design methods, adult learning, assessment design, and performance-based training.
• Excellent writing, editing, communication, organization, and quality-control skills; ability to simplify complex info without loss of accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables and review cycles independently and with SMEs, developers, designers, PMs, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Analyze source materials, requirements, learner needs, and SME input to identify learning gaps.
• Develop measurable objectives, strategies, assessments, and evaluation approaches.
• Design and develop CBT, WBT, ILT, VILT, eLearning, multimedia, and blended products.
• Create storyboards, scripts, knowledge checks, assessments, facilitator guides, participant materials, and job aids.
• Build interactive training using Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360/Rise 360, and related tools.
• Translate technical content into learner-centered instruction while preserving accuracy.
• Collaborate with SMEs, graphic artists, videographers, software developers, QA, PMs, and customers.
• Lead reviews for instructional quality, technical accuracy, usability, accessibility, and compliance.
• Support testing, pilots, revisions, and formal reviews with organized project files and version control.
