H&D Distributors, Inc. is seeking a Technical Inside Sales Specialist to support customers and the sales team in a fast-paced industrial environment.

The role emphasizes accurate processing of orders, detailed contract review, and close collaboration with purchasing, warehouse, and logistics teams. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in relevant roles, strong communication, and the ability to balance technical product knowledge with superior customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Inside Sales, Customer Service, Sales Support, Contracts Administration, or similar role within industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or technical products environment.
• Strong experience reviewing contracts, customer purchase orders, terms and conditions, or commercial agreements.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and business software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, and online inquiries.
• Provide product recommendations, technical guidance, pricing, and availability information.
• Collaborate with outside sales representatives, suppliers, and internal departments to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Review orders for completeness, pricing accuracy, delivery requirements, and special instructions.
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Resolve order discrepancies and communicate updates to customers.
• Review customer contracts, purchase orders, terms and conditions, and vendor agreements.
• Identify contractual requirements, exceptions, risks, and special compliance obligations.
• Ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated and executed throughout the organization.
• Maintain documentation and records related to contracts, customer agreements, and order requirements.
• Act as a liaison between customers, sales, operations, purchasing, and management.
• Communicate clearly and professionally regarding order status, technical requirements, timelines, and issue resolution.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
