Job summary

Conval is a leader in engineering, marketing, and manufacturing of Severe Service Industrial Valves, serving power generation, refineries, water treatment and more.

The Inside Sales Representative will provide strategic technical support to customers and the commercial sales team, prepare quotes, follow up on orders, interfacing with outside sales and other departments to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of related inside sales experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences.
• Proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Consults with existing and potential clients to assess and understand needs.
• Act as the key liaison to the design engineering teams, taking feedback from customers regarding requirements and communicating their needs to the product development team.
• Proficient with quoting process, order entry, order management through shop, and working with customers and other departments to solve problems.
• Prepare and submit detailed proposals.
• Interface with customer providing precise delivery dates derived from the information supplied by other departments.
• Provide interdepartmental communication of in-house customer orders requiring special attention.
• Provides expertise and support to sales teams to communicate products, services, and client needs.
• Ensures that customer needs are met, which may include product modifications.
