Since 1967, Deibel Laboratories has operated several private food testing facilities providing services in both Microbiology and Chemistry testing. We play an integral role in food and product safety for industry-leading producers, as well as family-run operations much like our own.

Our location in Manteca, CA is currently looking to hire a full-time Chemistry Department (Floor) Manager (40 hours/week plus benefits included).

Compensation: Starting Salary range is $60,000 - $64,000 DOE with annual bonus earning potential paid Quarterly - plus a competitive benefits package.

Schedule: Full Time – Monday - Friday. 9am - 5:30pm

Overview:

The Technical Laboratory Manager will provide operational and technical support of the lab. Support will be essential in aiding the function and success of our Manteca facility. The Technical Lab Manager will lead laboratory operations, perform testing of food products and environmental samples, and will be responsible for the application and evaluation of approved techniques and methodologies used in the analysis of food products. They will have frequent contact with the client base as well as reviewing, reporting, and interpreting laboratory results in collaboration with the management team. They will be responsible for overseeing the daily workload and staffing in the laboratory.

1. Some analytical experience on HPLC and GC a plus.
2. Soft skills including conflict resolution, policy guidance and enforcement, active listening, and organizational aptitude.
3. The ability to perform quantitative/qualitative analysis, strong problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
4. Ability to perform work accurately, reliably, thoroughly, timely, and within safety guidelines.
5. Ability to administer decisions soundly and consistently with policies and in compliance with appropriate laws and regulations.
