Job summary

EPRI in California seeks a Technical Executive to lead integrated grid engineering, simulation, and advisory services from a home office. You will shape technical directions, drive innovative research, and expand EPRI's capabilities across transmission, distribution, DERs, and energy systems.

Expect collaboration with utilities, regulators, and tech providers to advance grid modernization. This role requires 20+ years in power systems with proven leadership and a global industry footprint.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
20+ years of progressively responsible experience in power systems, research, technology development, utility operations, consulting, or related areas.
Demonstrated record of technical leadership, innovation, industry influence, and development of new technical capabilities.

Responsibilities

Provides strategic technical leadership for power-system simulation, grid modernization, DER integration, and related technologies.
Guides development of next-generation capabilities and research programs for integrated energy systems.
Leads growth of engineering, simulation, advisory, and technical-services offerings; identifies market opportunities.
Works with executive leadership to set strategy, roadmaps, investment priorities, and growth plans.
Mentors multidisciplinary teams and collaborates across sectors to maximize organizational impact.
