Job summary

OBE, a leading architectural glass and building products company, is seeking a Technical Estimator and Project Manager (Spec II Transaction Hardware) in Los Angeles. You will provide quotes to customers, convert quotes to orders, and apply knowledge of CRL products, quote programs, and configurators to win projects.

This role emphasizes fast-paced quoting, strong customer service, and collaboration with internal teams to meet critical path items.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree preferred but not required.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and stay current with inquiries and follow-up tasks.
• Knowledge of general pricing and margins; negotiating skills.
• General understanding of glass systems.
• Ability to navigate CRL's website and business software to retrieve product information.
• Must be organized with prioritization skills.
• Excellent customer service, tact, and communication.
• Demonstrate independent and critical thinking to anticipate and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate quotations to customers for their Product Group.
• Meet or exceed SLA for quote turnaround.
• Read and understand bid requests from specifications/drawings to ensure quotes are technically compatible and competitive.
• Maintain broad knowledge of Product Group products to offer customers.
• Answer calls and resolve customer questions/concerns with timely information.
• Document customer interactions in ERP consistently.
• Create urgency to release quotes to order to meet project timelines.
• Update notes on open quotes/orders/drawings daily if unresolved.
• Provide customer feedback to Team Leader.
• Collaborate with internal teams on customer needs and satisfaction factors.
