Job summary

Construction Innovations is seeking an Assistant Technical Product Specialist to support project estimates and prepare BOMs for electrical and mechanical components used in utility-scale solar and other energy projects.

You will work with Estimating and Preconstruction to extract details from drawings, collaborate with Sourcing for pricing, and help create customer-facing documentation while adhering to our QMS.

Qualifications

• 2 years of electrical or construction project experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Bluebeam or AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Technical Product Specialists in estimating and preparing project estimates per department standards.
• Takeoffs of materials and manufacturing labor from documents and data sheets.
• Interpret drawings and data sheets to extract pertinent details for estimates.
• Collaborate with Sourcing & Procurement for pricing and delivery information for estimates.
• Perform cost analyses to support estimates and pricing.
• Prepare and maintain estimate deliverables and logs under supervision.
