Job summary

PACIV is seeking a Technical Estimator to join our Indianapolis, IN team, supporting automation, controls, instrumentation, and validation projects for manufacturing and life sciences clients. You will develop estimates, review specs, collaborate with engineers and vendors, and help shape solutions from concept through execution.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Engineering and 3+ years in automation or CQV, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
3+ years experience in automation, controls, instrumentation, validation (CQV), project engineering, system integration, or related technical discipline.
Ability to understand technical specifications, engineering documents, and project scopes.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop estimates for automation, controls, instrumentation, and validation projects.
Review project specifications, scopes of work, RFPs, and engineering documentation.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and operations teams to develop technical solutions and project proposals.
Work with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain pricing and technical information.
Support project planning efforts and help identify the best technical approach for client needs.
Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Support projects across manufacturing, process automation, life sciences, and industrial environments.
Participate in client meetings and industry events as a technical resource.
