CTG, a Cegeka company, seeks a Technical Engineer III / Release Engineer for a 3-month engagement in Buffalo, NY. You will manage enterprise release schedules, deployment calendars, and release readiness reviews.

You will develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and Git branching strategies; coordinate releases across teams and ensure rollback plans and compliance. Strong Azure DevOps, GitLab, Git, and CI/CD experience are required.

CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Engineer III / Release Engineer opening for our client.

Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 3 months

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise release schedules, deployment calendars, and release readiness reviews.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and Git branching strategies.

• Coordinate application, infrastructure, database, and security releases across teams.

• Identify deployment dependencies and risks; ensure rollback plans and compliance requirements are met.

• Monitor post-release stability and implement process improvements.

Scope of Responsibilities

Oversee enterprise software releases to ensure reliable, efficient, and compliant deployments.

Education and Experience Required

• 5-8+ years of Release Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering experience.

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitLab, Git, and CI/CD pipeline administration.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience.

Education and Experience Preferred

• Banking or financial services experience.

• Knowledge of cloud delivery, infrastructure as code, and zero-downtime deployments.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $46.64-$77.74/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
