Training consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, followed by 17 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, with in-field components. The role involves drawing maps, conducting surveys, and supporting construction projects.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Must meet citizenship requirements.

Responsibilities

• Draw topographic maps and charts using CAD systems.
• Conduct geodetic and construction surveys and produce results with surveying technology.
• Provide technical support for vertical and horizontal construction projects.
