Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Technical Engineer to help build, plan, and repair airstrips, docks, barracks, roads, and other projects. Training includes basic and advanced instruction with a mix of classroom and field work.

You will learn surveying, drafting, maps, and photomapping techniques, developing skills applicable to civilian construction and government projects, including airports and roadways.

Qualifications

• Experience or ability to interpret aerial photos and translate into maps and plans.
• Proficiency in architectural and structural drawing principles.
• Interest in maps, charts, and drafting technology.

Responsibilities

• Draw topographic maps and charts using Computer Aided Drafting systems and software
• Conduct geodetic and construction surveys and results with modern survey tools
• Provide technical support for vertical and horizontal construction projects
