Greystones Group seeks a Technical Editor/Writer to support Navy/DoD documentation needs in the Washington, DC area. The role involves developing and reviewing technical documents, ensuring compliance with DoD/DoN policies, and coordinating with SMEs and engineers.

The position supports process improvements and policy updates, with potential remote/telework options. Requires a clearance and strong editing and documentation management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management or related discipline with 10+ years of technical materials editing experience.
• High school diploma with 15+ years of operations management support and 13+ years of editing technical materials.
• Specialized experience in Navy Modernization, Engineering Change Management or ISO 9001 - QMS and CMMI Level III Principles and Practices is a plus.
• Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
• Active Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, edit, and format a variety of documents including memorandums, instructions, policy documentation, and correspondence/documentation.
• Ensure all documentation complies with DoD/DoN policies.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, program managers, and stakeholders to gather source material and technical data.
• Edit documents for clarity, consistency, grammar, style, and adherence to required templates and standards.
• Support the development of program documentation required for milestone reviews and audits.
• Maintain version control of technical documents and ensure proper document configuration management.
• Assist with preparing materials for briefings, proposals, and official submissions.
