Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor's in science/journalism/English, at least 3 years publishing/editing experience, proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with Adobe products and online publishing tools. Position includes competitive benefits and open until filled.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, journalism, English, or related field required.
  • Three years publishing/editing experience required; peer-reviewed or standards documents preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook; knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style.

Responsibilities

  • Edit, rewrite or write, and proofread publications for readability and conformance with AWWA style and Chicago Manual of Style.
  • Adhere to production schedules and deadlines for projects and assignments.
  • Serve as publishing liaison with relevant groups and attend kickoff/production meetings.
  • Communicate with authors, pose queries, and incorporate corrections to copy.
  • Prepare and submit CIP requests to Library of Congress.
