Job summary

The American Water Works Association (AWWA) is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer – Community Water to join the SOP department. The role focuses on coordinating AWWA’s community water program, delivering technical assistance, and managing project records for small utilities across the country.

Qualification includes a civil or environmental engineering degree with emphasis on project management and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering is required; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical assistance projects for small, resource-constrained utilities; manage project records and reporting.
• Lead program outreach, recruit volunteers and partners; create marketing content as directed.
• Attend meetings and trainings; support program development and performance monitoring.
