Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) seeks an exceptional technical editor to join the Technical Editing and Communications (TEC) group. You will edit and write technical content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and accessibility for diverse audiences.

You will be embedded with the Environmental Protection & Compliance Division (EPC-DO), providing communications counsel and services to leaders and staff. You will work with technical experts to transform complex material into concise narratives,

Qualifications

Thorough knowledge of English grammar and punctuation with extensive experience in technical editing and writing.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word; solid understanding of Word styles and templates.
Experience guiding staff in technical writing skills, template development, and user training.

Responsibilities

Edit and write technical content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency for diverse audiences.
Embed with EPC-DO to provide communications counsel and services to division leaders and staff.
Perform mechanical and substantive edits, maintain readability, and project manage documentation quality.
