The role emphasizes strategic planning, program development, and delivering top-tier customer service while maintaining cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal and New Mexico environmental regulations, policies and procedures across water, air, biological resources, waste, NEPA, etc.
• Experience in leadership, project management, budgeting and strategic planning.
• Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries and manage customer/stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of environmental professionals ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
• Develop and achieve goals for programmatic, business and operational excellence.
• Oversee compliance strategy, budgeting, and resource allocation; mentor staff and ensure staff development.
