Job summary

ADVATIX is seeking an experienced Technical Editor to support intelligence production. The role emphasizes strict adherence to IC standards, DIA style, and precise grammar to ensure accuracy and readability of intelligence products.

This onsite, full-time position requires a U.S. citizenship and active DoD Top Secret clearance; you will collaborate with analysts in a fast-paced 24/7 environment to deliver high-quality products for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance required.
  • Experience reviewing and editing written intelligence products with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Community Authorized Classification and Control Markings.
  • Knowledge of DIA Style Guide requirements.
  • Knowledge of ICD 203 and applicable Intelligence Community standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a 24/7 operational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review and edit intelligence products for grammar, punctuation, spelling, syntax, clarity, consistency, and adherence to established style guidelines.
  • Ensure intelligence products comply with Community Authorized Classification and Control Markings, DIA Style Guide requirements, ICD 203, and applicable Intelligence Community standards.
  • Work closely with intelligence analysts and other professionals to improve the quality, accuracy, and readability of finished products.
  • Ensure complex intelligence information is presented clearly and appropriately for different audiences.
  • Support editing and production requirements within a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Identify inconsistencies, errors, and areas requiring clarification while maintaining the accuracy and intent of intelligence products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and edit intelligence products for grammar, punctuation, spelling, syntax, clarity, consistency, and adherence to established style guidelines.

  • Ability to work effectively in a 24/7 operational environment.
Education & Experience Requirements

Candidates must meet at least one of the following education and experience combinations:

  • Associate degree with 8+ years of technical editing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of technical editing experience.
  • Master's degree with 2+ years of technical editing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting a Combatant Command (COCOM) environment.
  • Experience incorporating intelligence information into all-source research, analysis, and production.
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community and organizational style guides.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to audiences with varying backgrounds and levels of expertise.
Work Environment
  • Full-time, onsite position.
