Job summary

Johnson Health Tech North America is seeking a Technical Documentation Specialist II to transform complex technical information into clear resources for technicians, customers, and product teams. You’ll own documentation projects from idea to completion, delivering service bulletins, assembly instructions, and instructional visuals that elevate support materials.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree in a technical or communication-related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in a technical-related field; fitness equipment experience is a plus.
• Strong technical writing skills, including experience creating step-by-step assembly or service documents.
• Hands-on aptitude for assembling, troubleshooting, repairing, testing, or supporting equipment.
• Experience working with customer, technician, or field feedback to improve processes and materials.
• Valid driver’s license required for local travel; successful completion of pre-employment and annual MVR checks required to drive on behalf of the company.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical documentation projects and drive them through completion.
• Create, update, and organize service bulletins, assembly instructions, troubleshooting guides, and support materials.
• Develop photos, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and videos that make technical procedures easier to follow.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather accurate information and keep documentation current.
• Support new product launches by ensuring technical support teams have the information they need.
• Maintain feedback loops with internal teams, suppliers, technicians, and customers to continuously improve documentation quality.
