Job summary

WBND ABC57 in South Bend, Indiana is seeking a communicative and creative Technical Director to join our growing office. You will direct a fast-paced, cutting-edge newscast and manage various studio operations while ensuring smooth on-air execution.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with broadcast technology is preferred.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, non-scripted breaking news environment.
• Physical ability to climb ladders to replace studio/set lighting as needed.
• Willingness to work varying shifts and accommodate schedule changes as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Direct a fast-paced, cutting-edge newscast utilizing the Grass Valley Ignite automation system.
• Manage switcher, audio, camera, graphics, and studio operations simultaneously.
• Oversee live broadcast, including ticker and other alert systems.
• Work alongside Producers, Anchors, and Reporters to improve presentation and flow.
