Gensler in Las Vegas seeks a Technical Director to lead the local office, overseeing production, technical quality, and client satisfaction. You will drive business development, maintain client relationships, and guide the design team to deliver excellent documentation.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years of experience, a professional architecture degree, and LEED accreditation, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in architecture or related field.
• 15+ years of professional experience.
• Strong leadership, people management, business development, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Licensed or registered architect.
• Experience with Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and MS Office.
• Expert knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and green building strategies.
• LEED accreditation required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with construction contractors and subcontractors.
• Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; portfolios should include at least 1 project with this focus.

Responsibilities

• Direct and provide leadership for activities in the Las Vegas office, including production, technical oversight, and project profitability.
• Collaborate with Operations Leader, Project Managers, Financial Director, HR Director and Office Manager to address issues across functions.
• Maintain client relationships, attend meetings, lead brand strategy, and guide design teams to deliver high-quality documentation.
• Develop business opportunities, market Gensler in Las Vegas, and work with Marketing on proposals and lead generation.
• Mentor and develop team members through professional development programs and coaching.
