Job summary

Amcor Rigid Packaging Solutions North America seeks a Technical Development Engineer to lead manufacturing plan creation, including capital costs and logistics for execution. You will drive continuous improvement and coordinate with Operations, Process Engineering, Tooling, Design, PMs, R&D, and Product Management to plan next‑gen products.

The role requires collaboration across functions, strong engineering background, and the ability to manage projects that optimize processes and drive cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering.
• Understanding of manufacturing costing.
• Experience in product development, manufacturing, and/or molding related to closures.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Technical Development Plan with cost inputs, capital equipment costs, and technology evaluation for RFQ or Business Case.
• Lead cross-functional teams to optimize processes and improve operational efficiencies.
• Oversee engineering or product design changes to optimize manufacturing.
• Lead technical communication with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Support customers, manufacturing and quality as the technical expert on maintenance and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure adherence to Amcor procedures and ISO processes.
