Job summary

Vuori in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Technical Designer to own specs and fit for the Women’s fitness product line, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure construction quality and accurate corrections for the next sample stage.

You will lead fit sessions, manage all specs/grades from setup to production, and collaborate with design and product development to deliver high-quality, market-ready styles while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Degree in tech design, patternmaking, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in a technical design role.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Experience communicating with vendors overseas.
• Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Create new style specifications and collaborate on pattern creation from scratch with Sr. TD.
• Manage and maintain all specs and grades from setup through production (protos, PPs, Size Sets, TOPs).
• Lead fit sessions for assigned category, measure garments and identify fit issues.
• Communicate fit and construction comments to vendors and internal teams on schedule.
• Establish and maintain fit, construction standards and blocks for consistency and quality.
• Read and correct patterns using software or other methods.
• Support grading projects and understand grading processes.
• Improve fit and quality by reviewing customer comments and sales feedback.
• Hit deadlines and manage workload across construction, fit, approvals, comments, timelines.
• Work on multiple women’s fitness/bodywear categories and maintain knowledge of styles.
