R & O Design Inc in New York is seeking a Technical Designer to support speccing, fittings and fit comments for women's apparel across woven and knit categories. You will report to a senior member of the Technical Design Team.

The role focuses on organizing samples for fittings, taking precise measurements, and creating technical packages with detailed construction notes. This on-site position runs Monday–Friday, 9AM–6PM.

Formación

• Degree in Technical Design or Patternmaking (preferred).
• 3+ years experience with Technical Design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Adobe Illustrator.
• Knowledge of pattern making, garment construction, sewing techniques, fabrications and trims.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Organize and prepare samples for the fittings prioritizing urgent deliveries.
• Measure samples accurately and in timely manner before the fittings.
• Create and update technical packages with measurements and construction details.
• Take notes and pictures and participate with the team in the fittings.
• Draft and send fitting comments.
• Maintain organization of fit samples for reference.
• Support the needs of other departments if necessary.

We are an established designer and manufacturer of women's apparel. Our Technical Design Team seeks a Technical Designer to help with speccing, fittings and fit comments. The product categories include woven and knit tops, pants/bottoms, shorts, skirts, and dresses. This position will be reporting to a senior technical design member on the team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Organize and prepare samples for the fittings prioritizing urgent deliveries
• Measure samples accurately and in timely manner before the fittings
• Create and update technical packages with measurements and construction details
• Take notes and pictures and participate with the team in the fittings
• Help with drafting and sending fitting comments
• Maintain organization of fit samples for reference
• Support the needs of other departments if necessary

Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Technical Design or Patternmaking (preferred)
• 3+ years experience with Technical Design
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Adobe Illustrator

Compensation

$75,000-$90,000 annual salary
