Job summary

Sweet Apparel Inc. is seeking a Technical Designer to join the team on-site in our Midtown Manhattan office. You will work across Activewear, Athleisure, and Sleepwear categories, ensuring fit and construction accuracy from initial development through pre-production.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Technical Design or Fashion Design, 6+ years in apparel tech design, and strong PLM/Excel skills. Clo3D experience is a plus, with a fast-paced environment and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Technical Design or Fashion Design.
• 6+ years of experience in Apparel Technical Design.
• Knowledge of sewing construction, patternmaking and fabrics.
• Proficient in PLM and Excel.
• Clo3D experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and team player.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with multiple product categories in Activewear, Athleisure, and Sleepwear.
• Accurately measure Fit/PP/TOP samples.
• Lead fit sessions and take detailed notes.
• Identify and communicate fit/construction issues to factory.
• Create initial tech packs for development and costing.
• Ensure corrections are made at pre-production sample stage.
• Collaborate with private label accounts to achieve fit.
• Track and manage sample status and organize library.
• Build cross-functional relationships with design, merchandising, production, and sales.
