Job summary

Brick Executive Search partners with a fast-growing intimate apparel and sleepwear company to identify a Technical Designer – Sleepwear in New York, NY. You will bring 3–5 years of technical design experience in sleepwear, loungewear, or activewear with strong construction and fit knowledge.

You will manage overseas production from development through production, create technical packages, review fittings, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure product quality.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of technical design experience in sleepwear.
• Strong garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit.
• Experience working with overseas factories.
• Proficiency with PLM systems; VStitcher and 3D fit knowledge a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain technical packages and construction specifications.
• Review and evaluate fit samples, conduct fittings on live models and mannequins, and issue clear fit comments.
• Partner with Design, Product Development, Production, and overseas vendors throughout development.
• Review patterns, grading, and garment measurements for accuracy.
• Resolve fit and construction issues while maintaining product quality.
• Maintain accurate product information within the PLM system.
• Manage multiple projects and development calendars simultaneously.

SUMMARY:

Technical Designer – Sleepwear

Location: New York, NY

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of technical design experience in sleepwear, loungewear or active with strong soft garment construction and fit knowledge, and experience managing products with overseas factories from development through production.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain technical packages and construction specifications.

Review and evaluate fit samples, conduct fittings on live models and mannequins, and issue clear fit comments.

Partner with Design, Product Development, Production, and overseas vendors throughout development.

Review patterns, grading, and garment measurements for accuracy.
