Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
  • 15+ years of related experience on a variety of projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization and graphic software.
  • Expert knowledge of building codes and accessibility requirements.
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects in different development stages.
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural deliverables on projects, collaborating with Design Directors and project teams.
  • Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions.
  • Participate in all project phases from conceptual designs to construction documents and production.
  • Collaborate with design teams, clients, consultants, contractors and vendors to meet project objectives.
  • Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings and construction drawings.
  • Assist in managing client expectations and consultant coordination.
  • Mentor and develop project team members.

Your Role

As a Gensler Technical Designer, you will combine creativity and technical knowledge with a focus on project delivery and an understanding of how to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You will drive the delivery of a project, collaborate with office and regional technical leaders, and develop delivery and process improvement strategies. What You Will Do
  • Lead architectural deliverables on projects, working with Design Director(s) and project team(s) on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production
  • Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions
  • Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production
  • Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
  • Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings
  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
  • Actively contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
  • Mentor and develop project team members
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited university required
  • 15+ years of related experience, including demonstrated success or background on a variety of projects
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software
  • Expert knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility requirements
  • Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
  • A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills
