Florida State University’s National High Magnetic Field Laboratory in Tallahassee seeks a Technical Designer, Level I (Cryogenics) to operate and maintain helium cryogenic systems and related equipment, including the 45T hybrid magnet infrastructure. The role involves on-call duties and proactive safety practices.

This position operates and maintains helium cryogenic systems and equipment for the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, fill liquid helium orders, and operates the DC Field Facility hybrid magnets (45T outsert, Series Connected magnet cryogenics system).
Bachelor’s degree; or High School Diploma or equivalent and four years of experience. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
