Job summary

Belk, Inc. & Belk eCommerce LLC. seeks a technical designer to own the technical specs and fit details across sampling for multiple product categories. You will partner with cross-functional teams to translate design concepts into precise construction and measurement standards.

In this role you will mentor junior designers, lead fit sessions, and ensure on-time delivery by tracking samples and communicating with vendors. Strong pattern making, grading, and Adobe Illustrator skills are essential.

Qualifications

BS/BA in pattern making, fashion design, technical design or related program.
5+ years of technical design or pattern making experience.
Strong knowledge of measurement specs and construction details.

Responsibilities

Create technical spec packages including technical sketch, measurement spec, construction details, trim details and quality standards.
Collaborate with senior technical designer and design team to translate product design into consistent fit and quality.
Lead fit sessions with brand managers, design team, and buying partners.
Maintain accuracy of data in PLM and ensure on-time delivery with cross-functional teams.
Monitor samples, resolve production issues, and mentor junior designers as needed.
