Job summary

Golden Touch in New York is seeking a Technical Designer for childrenswear to drive specs, fittings, and production-ready tech packs. You will partner with Design and Product Development to translate design intent into high-quality, scalable garments for fast-market timelines.

The role emphasizes meticulous construction, fit accuracy, and vendor communication, ensuring brand integrity across all styles and collections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Technical Design or related field.
• 3–5 years of technical design experience, preferably in childrenswear.
• Solid knowledge of garment construction, fit, balance and fabrics.
• Experience developing specs, fittings, and moving products to production.
• Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Illustrator, and PLM systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop initial garment specifications for costing and production.
• Create vendor-ready tech packs with sketches, materials, and construction details.
• Conduct fittings and manage fit process through final production sample approval.
• Evaluate garments for fit, balance, and construction and provide comments.
• Collaborate with Design, Product Development and Technical teams.
