Job summary

Golden Touch in New York is seeking an experienced Technical Design professional to drive pattern development and produce technical packages for costing, proto samples, and product development.

You will measure and translate garment specs into customer-fit standards, ensure design intent is reflected in all specs, and collaborate with Design, Merchandising, and overseas teams to finalize packages. Hybrid schedule offered with 4 days in office and Fridays at home.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years in Technical Design, Patternmaking, Product Development or related apparel field.
• Experience developing technical packages, specs, and garment construction details.
• Strong understanding of fit, balance, grading, patternmaking, and construction.
• Experience with children's apparel is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute the technical design process, creating worksheets and technical packages for costing, proto samples, and development.
• Measure garments and translate measurements into customer-specific fit and sizing.
• Ensure specifications reflect design intent and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Design, Merchandising, and Technical Design to translate ideas into technical packages.
• Communicate development notes to overseas offices, factories, and vendors.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to departmental goals.
• Work in 3D adjusting patterns based on feedback.
