Job summary

Cloud Nine LLC in New York is seeking a talented Spec Technician with strong communication skills to ensure product quality from design to production. You will be responsible for sizing specs, grading, evaluating fit samples, and communicating construction corrections to factories.

Required are pattern-making, sewing, and garment construction knowledge, plus 5+ years in budget sleepwear and strong fabric expertise.

Qualifications

• Pattern-making, sewing, and garment construction knowledge.
• Experience in budget sleepwear market for boys and girls.
• Strong knowledge of knit and woven fabrics.
• Experience with a variety of fabrics and finishes.
• Minimum 5 years in budget sleepwear.
• Computer savvy and quick to learn, highly organized and detail oriented.
• Experience with FileMaker Pro is a plus.
• Intermediate Excel and Illustrator skills required.

• Creating size specifications from children’s 12 months to size 16 sleepwear and swimwear & intimates for both boys and girls
• Grading
• Evaluating and commenting on fit samples
• Explaining and diagramming for factories how to make corrections to garment construction

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of pattern-making, sewing, and garment construction
• You should have strong product knowledge of children's sleepwear.
• Experience working on boy's and girls' sleepwear for the budget market.
• You should have a strong understanding of knit, and woven fabrications.
• Experience working with a variety of fabrics and fabric finishes.
• You must be; computer savvy, quick to learn, very organized, and detailed oriented,
• Intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in the budget sleepwear market.
• Knowledge of File Maker Pro is a plus.
