SBH Career is seeking an experienced Technical Designer specializing in Infant and Layette apparel to join our growing team in New Jersey. You will collaborate with design and overseas manufacturing partners to ensure fit, quality, and production accuracy across all development stages.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in infant apparel design, deep knowledge of construction, grading, and specs, and the ability to independently manage fit sessions with overseas patternmakers to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as Technical Designer in Infant/Layette apparel.
• Strong knowledge of infant garment construction, fit, grading and specs.
• Experience with overseas factories and patternmakers.

Responsabilités

• Develop block specifications based on established size ranges.
• Partner with designers to achieve intended fit and aesthetic throughout sample development.
• Prepare detailed specs for all stages, including first fit, second fit, PP, and shipping samples.
• Independently coordinate and lead fit sessions.
• Communicate fit comments, corrections and revisions to overseas patternmakers.
• Develop grading for costing and pricing purposes.
• Create bulk grading for production.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency across technical packages and production specifications.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure timely execution.

• Ability to independently manage fit sessions and communicate technical corrections.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
