Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking an Application Delivery Technical Lead to guide software engineers, shape architecture, and deliver complex enterprise solutions. You will mentor teams, design modules, and code portions while collaborating with architects, business users, and project managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience in database technologies.
• 5 years of experience on projects using SDLC.
• 3 years of experience in systems analysis and high level design.
• Experience with RPG, Java, SQL, Angular, and APIs design.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation on business requirements and functional specs for software solutions.
• Review development or modification of highly complex enterprise software.
• 50/50 design/mentorship and hands-on delivery of code responsibilities.
• Develop and validate complex software designs aligned with architecture standards.
• Contribute to overall technical direction for integrated enterprise solutions.
• Ensure detailed requirements, design, and test scripts are documented for enhancements.
• Mentor and advise team members on company methodologies and controls.
• Support CI/CD and production deployment processes.
