Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architectural design and modernization of legacy .NET Framework applications to .NET 8+ with AI tooling in SDLC.
• Define and drive migration strategy and best practices across the Advisor platform.
• Serve as primary technical contact for client sponsors and executives, translating decisions into business narratives.
• Deliver client-facing presentations and steer team toward aligned technical progress.

We're looking for a forward-thinking .NET Technical Delivery Lead / Architect to own the modernization of a legacy .NET Framework platform into a modern, cloud-native, AI-augmented solution. This is a hands-on architecture and delivery leadership role: you'll define technical strategy, embed agentic-AI practices across the software development lifecycle, guide engineering teams, and serve as the primary technical counterpart to client project sponsors and executive stakeholders throughout the engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architectural design and modernization of legacy .NET Framework applications to .NET 8+, with a delivery approach that actively incorporates agentic-AI tooling across the SDLC (requirements analysis, code generation, automated testing, code review, and release orchestration)
• Define and drive migration strategy, patterns, and best practices across the Advisor platform, proactively identifying modernization opportunities ahead of stated requirements
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client project sponsors and executive stakeholders, translating architectural decisions and delivery status into clear, business-relevant narratives
• Prepare and deliver client-facing presentations and steering committee updates, partnering with the broader delivery team to align technical progress with business outcomes
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Design and govern cloud-native solutions on Azure, including messaging, data, and integration patterns
• Establish coding standards, review practices, and architectural guardrails for the engineering team, incorporating AI-assisted development workflows where they improve quality and velocity
• Conduct architecture and code reviews, providing actionable guidance to development teams
• Identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks throughout the modernization lifecycle, escalating proactively to client sponsors with recommended mitigations
• Champion DevOps and AI-augmented SDLC practices including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure as code, and agentic workflow orchestration
• Provide architectural guidance and thought leadership on integrating AI/ML and agentic capabilities into the Advisor platform and into the team's own delivery practices
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with client sponsors, acting as a strategic advisor on modernization roadmap and technology direction

Required Skills & Experience

• 15+ years of software development experience with at least 8 years in a technical delivery lead architect role, including direct accountability to client project sponsors or executive stakeholders
• Expert-level proficiency in C# and .NET 8+, with deep understanding of modern framework capabilities
• Proven experience leading .NET Framework to .NET 8+ migration projects at enterprise scale
• Demonstrated experience applying agentic-AI and AI-assisted development tools within the SDLC (e.g., AI pair-programming, automated code review/testing, AI-driven pipeline or workflow orchestration) to accelerate delivery
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB - data modeling, partitioning strategies, and performance optimization
• Solid working knowledge of Azure Service Bus and event-driven/messaging architecture patterns
• Experience designing microservices, API-first, and cloud-native architectures
• Proficiency with Azure services including App Services, Azure Functions, API Management, Key Vault, and Azure DevOps
• Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, and Event Sourcing patterns
• Experience with RESTful API design, versioning, and security best practices
• Good understanding of React and micro-frontend architectures, with the ability to design and govern API contracts and backend services that support modern frontend experiences
• Hands-on experience integrating Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Services, or similar LLM-based platforms into enterprise applications, including agent-based/agentic architectures
• Experience designing AI-powered APIs and agent frameworks consumable by both backend services and frontend applications
• Familiarity with component-driven UI patterns and how backend architecture decisions impact frontend scalability and performance
• Proven track record managing client project sponsor relationships, including status reporting, roadmap alignment, and executive-level presentations
• Strong presentation and executive communication skills, with experience preparing and delivering client-facing materials as part of a collaborative delivery team
