Technical Customer Success Manager (Enterprise)
We're a Series B startup that's tripled our headcount in 2 years, and we're continuing to grow, fast. Backed by Kleiner Perkins, CRV, and Notable Capital, our team is building on our CEO's founding vision to power the world's best AI tools and help everyone automate the web.
About the role
This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who can move confidently between debugging an integration, coordinating a complex rollout, and leading an executive conversation about business outcomes. You’ll bring structure to ambiguous situations and maintain accountability from onboarding through renewal and expansion.
What you’ll do
- Own the post-sale lifecycle for a focused portfolio of enterprise customers, creating joint success plans with measurable outcomes, milestones, owners, and dependencies.
- Lead complex onboarding and adoption programs across engineering, product, and business teams; coordinate security, procurement, and other internal stakeholders when they affect customer progress.
- Read customer code, understand system architecture, and troubleshoot integrations. Guide discussions about reliability, scale, and production readiness in partnership with Engineering.
- Build relationships across technical champions, executive sponsors, and commercial decision-makers so success does not depend on a single contact.
- Run weekly customer meetings with clear agendas, written follow-ups, accountable owners, and reliable closure of commitments. Lead technical workshops, onboarding plans, and escalation reviews as needed.
- Lead QBRs and executive business reviews with senior leaders, connecting adoption and workflow performance to business value and decisions about future investment.
- Own renewal strategy and execution: establish the value case early, manage objections and decision processes, maintain a clear forecast, and close renewals with or without Sales involvement.
- Partner with Sales to develop expansion opportunities across additional teams and use cases, grounded in demonstrated customer needs and outcomes.
- Combine usage, technical performance, stakeholder engagement, and business context to identify risks; lead recovery plans and coordinate escalations through resolution.
- Manage substantial feature-request pipelines: clarify use cases and business impact, advocate for priorities with Product and Engineering, communicate tradeoffs and status, and close the loop without promising uncommitted roadmap work.
- Develop playbooks that strengthen enterprise delivery across the CS team.
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years in Technical Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, or Technical Account Management, with substantial experience owning enterprise customer relationships. We expect many strong candidates to bring 5–8+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a revenue-generating role, with direct accountability for strategic accounts, renewals, and expansion. You can point to commercial outcomes you personally owned.
- Experience coordinating technical implementations across teams, resolving competing priorities, and keeping work moving through dependencies and escalations.
- A track record of stakeholder mapping and multi-threading at large companies, building executive alignment, presenting business value, and guiding difficult commercial or delivery conversations.
- Experience with engineering-heavy customers, earning trust through technical specificity, preparation, and consistent follow-through.
- Strong judgment about when to solve an issue directly and when to bring in Engineering, Product, or commercial partners.
- Clear communication, customer empathy, and the independence to build structure in a fast-moving startup.
Nice to have
- Experience with enterprise developer tools, cloud infrastructure, automation, observability, AI infrastructure, data infrastructure, or security products.
- Familiarity with enterprise security reviews, procurement processes, and production reliability requirements.
- Experience mentoring teammates or building enterprise success methodologies.
