Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a Technical Writer for the PACE team to craft clear, customer-focused documentation for HPE Networking’s cloud services, automation, and Network Management products.

You will design, develop, and maintain user content—from concepts and tasks to installation instructions, illustrations, video scripts, and course modules—collaborating with stakeholders and SMEs to simplify onboarding and empower customers.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience producing high-quality technical content for advanced software products.
  • BA/BS in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing, automation, networking, data centers, or security.
  • Ability to research complex technical concepts independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with XML authoring, content management, and courseware development tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience using AI tools to scale content creation while maintaining quality.

Job description

We are seeking a Technical Writer for the Product Adoption Content and Education (PACE) team at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Your primary focus will be to create clear, customer‑focused documentation for HPE Networking’s cloud services, automation, and Network Management products.

Job Overview

As a member of the PACE team, you will design, develop, and maintain user content such as concepts, tasks, installation instructions, illustrations, video scripts, and course modules. You will collaborate with stakeholders and subject‑matter experts to understand requirements and deliver documentation that simplifies onboarding and empowers customers.

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience producing high‑quality, accurate technical content for advanced software products.
  • BA/BS in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of concepts such as cloud computing, automation, networking, data centers, or security.
  • Ability to research complex technical concepts independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with XML authoring, content management, and courseware development tools.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to progress with incomplete information.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience utilizing AI tools to scale content creation while maintaining quality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience with networking technologies such as routing, switching, security, network automation, virtual machines, containers, and cloud services.
  • Experience with DITA/XML authoring principles and content management concepts.
  • Familiarity with Markdown and MS PowerPoint for authoring content.
  • Leadership experience in technical documentation with multiple writers.
  • Experience with Agile and JIRA project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of HPE Aruba or HPE Juniper Networking products.
  • Industry network certifications.
Salary

Annual Salary USD 85,600 - 163,000 (United States, Colorado); 92,700 - 187,500 (California); 81,500 - 187,500 (Illinois, North Carolina, Texas). The listed range reflects base salary; variable incentives may also be offered.
