About ChatDIY

ChatDIY is on a mission to reinvent how people tackle home improvement and repair DIY projects. We’re building the first full-stack DIY platform powered by AI—think tailored step-by-step repair guidance, materials lists, inspiration and concept design, and a virtual pro service all served up in a sexy UI.

DIY is broken—fragmented forums, never-ending YouTube searches, unclear parts sourcing. ChatDIY makes it seamless.

We’ve validated the concept with a working POC and are now looking for a technical co-founder to join early and help build the MVP that takes us from "cool idea" to category-defining product.

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial full-stack software developer or engineer—someone who has a passion for DIY and wants to be a partner, builder, decision-maker, and co-creator in a startup solving real-world problems.

You might be a fit if you:

• Are a full-stack engineer or AI/ML expert with startup or build-from-zero experience
• Have experience with LLMs and APIs
• Have experience setting up IT infrastructure and dev environments from scratch (cloud, pipelines, security, monitoring, etc.)
• Understand or can demonstrate a strong appreciation for clean, intuitive UI/UX as a core part of product success—not an afterthought
• Can ship quickly, prioritize what matters, and communicate clearly
• Enjoy building intuitive user experiences and scalable backend systems
• Believe in the power of hands-on, real-world problem solving (and maybe love a good DIY project too)

What You’ll Do

• Lead technical development of the ChatDIY platform and MVP
• Architect and implement core infrastructure, hosting, and deployment strategy
• Own codebase decisions and future technical team formation
• Collaborate on product roadmap, fundraising strategy, and go-to-market
• Build an experience that feels less like a chatbot and more destination—UI will be key
