Overview




AmTrust Financial Services, a fast-growing commercial insurance company, has an immediate need for a Technical Claims Specialist in our Worker's Compensation Department. This person will focus on providing support and technical oversight for complex or high-risk workers compensation claims.






Responsibilities




    Assume co-ownership for the outcomes on claims under oversight.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and business owner for critical national initiatives, with ownership for how those programs are performing and their results.
  • Manage or participate as a SME in complex projects and initiatives for the WC line of business.
  • Participate with senior leadership with develop, implementation, and training to new process, technology, and metrics.
  • Responsible for LOB reserve adequacy, audits, reporting, etc.
  • Development of WC guidelines, policies, procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Identify and pursue ways to reduce inefficiencies in claim processes.
  • Conduct training, drive initiatives, action planning, development planning, and process improvement within region.
  • Develop reports, evaluate trends, and drive outcomes within region.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for the claims group and assist in cross departmental projects and initiatives.





Qualifications




  • CPCU, AIC designation, adjuster licensing program or other industry training programs a plus
  • 7-10+ years of Workers Compensation claim handing experience.
  • Ability to manage highly technical claim staff.
  • Ability to mentor, train, and be a leader within the organization.
  • Ability to provide claim oversight and direction on complex claim issues.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership.
  • Knowledge source for adjusters
  • Ability to develop reports, metrics, and process improvement plans.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects and project teams.
