Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist (MD, NC, TN, GA, KY) REMOTE

Join Holmes Murphy as a Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist for the jurisdictions of MD, NC, TN, GA, and KY. This remote position offers the opportunity to work with a vibrant and innovative company culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, gather, and transmit workers’ compensation information accurately and timely from communications with insureds, claimants, and internal staff.
  • Investigate, evaluate, and resolve lost time workers’ compensation claims, including litigated cases.
  • Mediates between insureds and the insurance company, researching coverage issues with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain accurate claim information on computer systems, including final settlements.
  • Generate checks for indemnity and medical payments daily.
  • Ensure procedural consistency in claims handling within CRS.
  • Willingness to obtain necessary licenses in relevant jurisdictions.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred. Technical designations like AIC and CPCU encouraged.
  • 3-5 years claims experience, specifically in Workers’ Compensation.
  • Active state-specific Workers’ Compensation License or ability to acquire within three months.
  • Proficient knowledge of workers’ compensation coverage and claims processing.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to multiple software programs quickly.
