Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking a CAD Designer for an on-site, 1-year contract in Schenectady, NY. Openings: 10; Hours: 40 per week; 8 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Rate: $30-35/hour (W2 + benefits).

The CAD Designer will create accurate models and drawings using CAD software based on instructions, sketches, and layouts, collaborating with engineers and team members to ensure high-quality output for various projects.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (Technology or Drafting or similar) plus experience; or related vocational/technical high school program.
• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Basic understanding of drafting practices and procedures. Example: Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Prepare models & drawings using CAD software according to provided instructions.
• Perform model & drawing changes and revisions as directed by engineers or project managers.
• Receive close supervision, instruction, and review of work to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
