Job summary

ManpowerGroup has partnered with a leading Energy Technology and Power Generation company to recruit a CAD Designer I for an on-site role in Schenectady, NY. The position supports the Engineering and Design Department, collaborating with project teams to meet deadlines.

Our client, a leading Energy Technology and Power Generation company , is seeking a CAD Designer I to join their team. As a CAD Designer I , you will be part of the Engineering and Design Department supporting Engineering and Project Teams . The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills , attention to detail , and the ability to collaborate effectively which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: CAD Designer I

Location: Schenectady, NY (100% On-Site)

Pay Range: $35/hour

What's the Job?

• Create CAD models and drawings from sketches, layouts, and engineering instructions.

• Revise and update engineering drawings as directed by Engineers and Project Managers.

• Follow established drafting, modeling, and documentation standards.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to support project requirements and deadlines.

• Maintain quality, accuracy, and compliance in all technical documentation.

What's Needed?

• Associate Degree in Technology, Drafting, or a related field; OR completion of a vocational/technical drafting program.

• Proficiency with CAD software.

• Knowledge of drafting practices and procedures, including GD&T.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work onsite in Schenectady, NY.
