WCL Group in Schenectady, NY is seeking a CAD Designer to create accurate models and drawings using Siemens NX, guided by engineers.

This 1-year on-site contract offers $30-36 per hour, 40 hours weekly, with a strong likelihood of extension or conversion to full-time.

Competenze

• Associate's Degree (Technology, Drafting, or similar) plus experience.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX CAD software.
• Basic understanding of drafting practices and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

COMPENSATION

$30-36 per hour.

SCHEDULE

Working Model: 100% on-site. Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.

CONTRACT TERM

1-year contract with a very high likelihood of extension or conversion to full-time.

POSITION OVERVIEW - CAD Designer

The CAD Designer is responsible for creating accurate and detailed models and drawings using Siemens NX CAD software, based on provided instructions, sketches, and layouts. This role involves working closely with engineers and other team members to produce high-quality models and drawings for various projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive close supervision, instruction, and review of work to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• Associate's Degree (Technology, Drafting, or similar) plus experience; or related vocational/technical high school program.
• Proficiency in a CAD software.
• Basic understanding of drafting practices and procedures (e.g., Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
