WCL Group in Greenville, SC is seeking a Technical CAD Designer I to convert sketches and layouts into precise drawings using MicroStation. You will collaborate with engineers and project managers, applying drafting standards to ensure clarity and accuracy.

• Associate's degree (Technology or Drafting) plus experience, or a related vocational-technical program.
• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly MicroStation or similar tools.

In the office Monday through Thursday, Friday remote Hybrid, 40 hours

CONTRACT TERM

1 year contract with high likelihood of extension or conversion to full time.

POSITION OVERVIEW – Technical / CAD Designer I

You'll turn sketches, layouts, and instructions into accurate, detailed drawings using CAD software, mainly MicroStation. You'll work with engineers and project managers on drawing changes and revisions, follow drafting standards so every drawing is clear and consistent, and have your work reviewed to make sure it's accurate. The project supports a new area operation, so you'll partner with manufacturing leaders and operational experts and be part of building a large, important operation from the ground up.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• Associate's degree (Technology or Drafting) plus experience, or a related vocational-technical high school program
• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly MicroStation or similar tools
• Basic understanding of drafting practices and procedures
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
