3+ year of relevant mechanical CAD software (CREO, Pro/E, AutoCAD) design experience
Be able to manipulate large assemblies (>200 components) effectively.
Read and interpret Engineering drawings and documentation and collaborate with the design team in a fluid design/test environment
A working knowledge of production part processes: sheet-metal, plastic forming, and machining manufacturing methods
Experience with power distribution equipment for 240-690V AC systems
Pro-E CAD modeling experience
SAP software experience
Supports new product development for high current and voltage power conversion and Motor Control Center products
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include creating and updating CAD drawings from engineering sketches or notes, suggesting design improvements for manufacturability, ensuring drawings meet project standards, and maintaining ECN/ECR documentation following established procedures
Works with engineers and peers to exchange and present information
Reports to local Development Engineering Manager and may take direction from engineers and project managers
With supervision, the designer oversees application, conception, creation, release, and support for industrial power control products consistent with company and industry standards for quality, safety and reliability while optimizing cost and manufacturability
